Oregon State University

I have been with OSU for over five and a half years now. Let's go Beavs! (Side note: How/why did "Let's Go" become such a popular phrase for Millenials and Gen. Z these days?Anyhow, most of the work I've done is for the College of Business  aka "COB". (We LOVE our acronyms in higher ed!) Please feel free to visit the COB Marketing Portfolio to discover a more in-depth view that focuses on the objectives, results, opportunities, and goals of some of the projects I've been working on for the past half decade... with Google Slides limitations of course. In addition, here is a collection of Final Documents I've designed and directed in my time at Oregon State University. I've included these files to display the full scope of long-format print documents in easily downloadable PDF's.

As the Art Director for the University Marketing & Communications Department, I worked very closely with Marketing Directors, Social Media Managers, Developers, Programers, and other marketing professionals throughout the university. I also lead a small team of our Assistant Art Director, Senior Graphic Designer, Contract and Freelance Designers, while also engaging with Photographers, Videographers, Illustrators, Copywriters, Printers and Vendors, Advancement teams, Events staff, Athletics staff, student workers, and more. I am responsible for every facet of projects seen here, from conceptualization to finalization. I have thoroughly enjoyed this in-house position as I feel it has given me a very broad scope of all sorts of design. Every time I think I've designed almost everything that exists out there, I come upon a new project such as chocolate bars or bobble heads, for example.

As a rather overt loyalist, I always find it difficult to move on from a position in which I have been so heavily involved in for so long, but feel it's time for a new stage of my career. As our department has had much success and therefore rapid growth, I find myself in a bit more of a Project Management role than I'd prefer. While I'm constantly getting praised for my in-depth organizational skills, at heart my true passion is in the creative space. Plus, I can't say I'll miss designing solely in Halloween colors! Orange, black, and white serve as a great color scheme for Universities, but over 1000 projects later, I believe it's time to move onward and upward. That's where you come in!

For this and all "Work" pages on my site, feel free to scroll down, or click on any image to open in "expand mode". As you will likely soon be able to tell, I thrive on creating many viable options for navigation within digital realms. As always, feel free to contact me if you'd like further information or design examples. I look very forward to hearing from you and possibly working together!
